Steamboat Days 2008

Bobbi and I got tickets to Steamboat Days this year. The event was cut short this year because of flooding at Burlington's riverfront. We were able to go 2 nights. We went Wednesday to see Sugarland and we went Thursday for the opening act (TNT) and the closing act (Maggie Speaks). We actually went to eat during the main performance on Thursday which was KC and the Sunshine Band.

Sugarland was aweome! We got into the VIP section. Jennifer is a terrific singer and it's a good thing Christian can play the guitar, cause he aint got much in the vocal cord department.

He did climb the stage, which was entertaining in itself!

TNT from Keokuk on the South Stage. They are a good band to go listen to.

Ole sunshine himself. KC could have used a wheelchair. I told Bobbi to wake me up when it was over!

And Maggie Speaks from Chicago. If you ever get a chance to see these guys, DO IT. They are awesome

Too bad it was cut short, I was really looking forward to seeing Gretchen Wilson on Sunday, damn river.

AT LEAST THERE WERE NO PORTA POTTY INCIDENTS THIS YEAR. AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE DEPUTY SINCE STEAMBOAT DAYS WAS WHERE HE WAS BORN.

You'll have to fill me in on the porta potty story next weekend. I'm glad the deputy found a good home :)
