Last weekend we went to watch my cousin Josh fight in a mixed martial arts fight in Keokuk. Josh did very good and won by a unanimous decision in the 3rd and final round. Although, the guy that Josh was fighting did land a couple of very nice punches and a knee to the head that I thought for sure gave him a concussion. Josh did take a trip to the emergency room after the fights due to his memory loss and not remembering the fight. He was told that he didn't have a concussion but he did have a big enough gash on the side of his head to require 7 stitches above his ear. Yesterday (4 days after the fight), Josh still had a slightly swollen head, stitches, and a small gash on his nose but doing OK. He also said that people can get hurt fighting MMA and will not be fighting again! The following are a few pictures of the fight but I'll probably have PJ post some more later.

I was there, too. Josh's fight was awesome!! It's too bad he won't be doing it again--although it's completely understandable!!
